Solo's No Good To Me Dead, Mate

Why won't George Lucas leave his movies alone?! Now theForce.net is reporting rumors that on the new DVD, Boba Fett's voice will be changed to have a New Zealander's accent, like the actor in the new movies. This is not a good sign.

Here's an idea: Make a movie. Twenty years make prequels to the movie. Then, make changes to the original movie to fix mistakes that should have been caught when he made the prequels.
Wouldn't it have been easier just to get an actor that sounded like Boba Fett in Episode II? At the very least one without an accent?
Knock it off Lucas, we've already seen the movies too many times to ignore changes to them.

Funny title by the way, it took me a minute to get it.

I think New Zealand is making deals with Hollywood to put NZ actors in movies in exchange for filming in their country, so Lucas either had to or wanted to put a NZ in there.

But then came the obvious question, "How come Boba Fett had an accent in Episode Two and not in the original movies?" He could have answered "Boba Fett used a voice-changer," but it seems Lucas took the hard way out.

It wouldn't be so bad if Lucas would just release two versions - one with changes and the originals, but it seems like Lucas is determined to change history and erase all records of the original movies. But you can't erase our minds, man!

As for the title, it took me a while. Boba Fett didn't have too many lines, and none of them memorable.
