I Gotta Have More Cowbell, Baby!
I saw this on SNL's "Best of Christopher Walken" last night, and I had to share. It's considered by some to be Will Ferrell's finest moment. Certainly (as one person put it) only Walken could've made the word "cowbell" this funny. It took a lot of work to find the video, but here it is. Get it while it lasts, because SNL's been trying to pull it offline. Keep an eye on what's-his-name in the lefthand background, the guy who does Weekend Update (badly). It's not too clear in this video, but he's desperately trying to hold back laughter the whole time.

I was doubled over with laughter with the band's reaction to the cowbell right in the singers ear. The combination of Will Ferrell and Christopher Walken is GOLD. And your right, the more Chris said "cowbell" the funnier it got.
I've been laughing over that "cowbell" skit all day now. I've listened to it like twelve times. I can't get enough!
"I've got a fever...and the only prescription...is more cowbell!"
Here's a link to a sample fromthe original recording BTW

Heard the full version and the cowbell really is in there! Not nearly as loud but still. I busted out!
It really is a classic, and I'm sorry I missed it the first time. I would've made the title of this post "I got a fever...and the only prescription is cowbell" but that would be too long. Makes me wonder what other gems I've been missing.
By the way, the idea of making "best of" shows for hosts seems like a pretty good idea, especially for old pros like Christopher Walken. I wanted to stay up to see if they played that "License with an option to Buy" sketch where he played a Bond villain who wasn't ready, but it was getting late.
